     Aircraft Paint & Interior

Welcome Home

Three Generations of aircraft painters. The history began in Georgia with Lawton and Butch Parrish painting planes at South Expressway Airport (9A7) in Jonesboro Ga. At this small shop history was made, with painting Oshkosh and Sun N' Fun winning aircraft from Luscumbs to the famous P-51 Mustang Glamorous Glenn III owned by Connie Bowlin.

In the Mid 80's Parrish Aircraft Painting was enticed with a new improved facility at Bear Creek Airport (Now Clayton County Airport - Tara Field 4A7). Where the company continued to grow with aircraft painting and interiors. Some of the famous aircraft from here were WXIA-TV's SKY CAM news chopper, WSB-TV's Chopper 2, WXIA-TV's sat truck SKY LINK , Wiley Sanders B-25 "Ole Gray Mare" award winner, featured in Calendars, and Warbirds Magazine. This facility also produced Jack Shahans Oshkosh and Sun n' Fun winning C-140. This aircraft was also featured in Cessna Owners Magazine, and Calendars.

In the late 80's and Early 90's Parrish Aircraft Painting moved to Macon's Downtown airport and operated at the Macon Air Facility. At this facility Parrish Aircraft Painting continued with award winning warbirds, single engine to small jet aircraft. Including a specialty with Bonanza's and Barons. Some of the famous Bonanza (and Aerostar) owners included Bobby and Davie Allison.

Mid 90's Parrish Aircraft Painting took a new move, to Miami Florida and began painting Commercial Airline Aircraft. Airliners from around the world graced fresh paint by the Parrish family. In 1998 Cloud 9 Aircraft Refinishing was born in Jacksonville Florida to serve the commercial aircraft industry along side MRO Flight Star Aircraft Services. During this time Cloud 9 custom painted the DHL 727 Feet to the bright yellow and red. Some of our famous aircraft in this tenure included Donald Trumps 727.

The Third Generation joined the painting industry with Steve Parrish taking the helm of the business from his father Butch. With he formation of Jet Set Air Support. Jet Set's focus was to provide a top notch mobile aircraft paint team serving the commercial industry. Jet Set supported facilities in Jacksonville, Opa Locka, and Miami Florida. Jet Set produced at lot of 1st for airlines, including Allegiant's introduction 757-200, Russia's Moskovia Airlines first 737, Canada's Cargo Jet's first 757-200 as well painted many other well know companies such as Fed EX, Air Tran 717's, and was selected to paint President Obama's 757-200 campaign aircraft.

Steve's passion for General Aviation and warbirds left a itch that needed to be filled. He tired of painting aircraft that looked good to a passenger in the terminal who really did not appreciate the craftsmanship that went in to painting it. Steve returned his family legacy to General Aviation with Southern Eagle Aviation. Within days of its conception Avant Air chose Southern Eagle and the third generation of Parrish to paint their 56 Piaggio P-180 fleet. With this high accomplishment there was just still one more itch. That was to return to the state that it began all. Georgia.

Southern Eagle Aviation is proud to return to Macon Down Town, return to the same hangar that the Legendary Butch Parrish produced so many amazing award winning aircraft from. To return to Georgia is History repeating it self with Custom Painted by Parrish Generation 3. Aircraft owners can expect that same quality that our family name is known for. They can expect the same competitive and affordable prices that Parrish has always been known for. They can expect the same family atmosphere and the same shared love for AIRPLANES that has been a family HONOR. Let's not forget you can also expect the Legend Butch Parrish to inspect the aircraft all along the way.
